What makes Going Electric strengthen the viability of the jeepney as the premier mode of transportation in the country? Do you find this valuable?

E-Jeepney costs only Php105 per 8 hrs of charging and can run 120 km at 40 kph while a typical diesel-powered passenger jeepney needs at least Php1000 to ply its route for a day. Do you find this valuable?

in my opinion, i think we can really make the e-jeepney work in our drive to lessen pollution, lessen demand for fossil fuel if we start now with the short routes (e.g. 20-40 kms one way). i think also that we can always find courageous entrepreneurs who may want to partner with coops for charging points. (we have seen these in fast food chains for cellphones). like 5 pesos per 20 minute charging time while waiting for passengers..or when drivers are waiting for their turn to load up passengers. it will be daunting but i believe it is a viable idea Do you find this valuable?

but the unit was too costly, it was around Php600,000 per unit do you think it would be viable for ordinary jeepney driver? a cooperative might be helpful, do you like to be a partner in case for that matter? 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

as with any endeavour this early for the sake of the environment and to wean ourselves away from foreign oil, this one needs government subsidy. take the current jeep, exchange them for an electric jeep, instill a commitment between the government and the lessee and have the private sector provide the necessary power infrastructure in partnership with the jeep coops. given the chance, i want to take part as a passive partner for this endeavour. Do you find this valuable?
